Internal Medicine Residency Program Mission
Our program’s mission is to train clinically and culturally competent compassionate physicians who are dedicated to serving the well-being of the community.

Program Vision and Overall Goals
The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s vision is to train compassionate, devoted, and well-versed internists that are ready to serve any community. Our residents train in a safety-net setting giving them the opportunity to mitigate healthcare inequity all while gaining exposure to a diversity of patients and pathologies.

We accomplish this by providing a strong balance of didactics, research opportunity, and clinical teaching while keeping the patient at the center of our focus. Moreover, we focus on the well-being of our residents by building a supportive culture of collaboration, curiosity and reflection. We have continued to develop a wellness program over the years that includes mentoring as well as social events to help our residents maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
