Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship

Welcome Letter

Thank you for your interest in our Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), an affiliate with California University of Science and Medicine, School of Medicine (CUSM).

Our mission is to provide exemplary medical care by treating all patients who come before us with uncompromising dedication and skill.

Our program offers a robust and comprehensive training experience throughout a three-year ACGME-accredited training. ARMC is a large teaching county hospital and Level I trauma center that serves the community of San Bernardino County. With over 450 beds, our patient population provides a unique and diverse educational experience to trainees.

Our fellows, in close collaboration with supportive attendings are the leaders in the care of patients in need within our institution. Our fellows are trained to be clinically and procedurally competent, effective leaders, and experts in the field.

Our program allows the fellows to gain diverse experience by working with many faculty members with different expertise and backgrounds at our main site and at our other affiliated hospitals. Our fellows will gain expertise in all areas of critical care and pulmonary medicine such as pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, COPD, asthma, interventional pulmonology, and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). Our fellows enjoy the wide breadth of experience which ultimately allows them to graduate from our program as skilled independent pulmonary and critical care physicians.

We provide comprehensive didactics; our fellows will become skilled educators throughout their fellowship, with significant exposure to teaching medical students and residents.

Fellows also receive the necessary support to develop clinical research projects that reflect their clinical passion. We have a dedicated research department and statistical support for our faculty and fellows. Our fellows are also supported in their travels to present their projects at regional and national meetings by the GME office.

Thank you for your interest in our program and please feel free to contact me for any questions that you may have.

Warmest Regards,
